Biography

The tenor S. Deniz (Senozhur) Leone was born on June 25, 1981 in Smirne (Turkey). In Italy he received his vocal training from M° Stella Silva at the Conservatory “BENEDETTO MARCELLO” in Venice, where the quality of his voice was appreciated from the very beginning. On stage, Leone sings opera roles as well as pieces from sacral and chamber music. He attended a professional course of M° Maurizio Arena at the Conservatory “BENEDETTO MARCELLO” in Venice, where he showed up with great musical talent and a beautiful voice. IN 2006 he sang Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni in a production in co-operation with the Gran Teatro della Fenice. In the season 2006-07 he debuted as Alfredo in G. VERDI’s LA TRAVIATA, as duke of Mantova in G. VERDI’s RIGOLETTO and as Edgardo in G. DONIZETTI’s LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR. M° Luciano Pavarotti was the vocal trainer of Deniz Leone.

In the season 2008/2009 he participated in the production of Manon (Des Grieux) by Massenet in Estonia, in Albania he participated in the production of Falstaff as Fenton.

In the season 2009/2010 he sang Duca in a new production of Verdi´s Rigoletto at the national opera of Athens and Lucia di Lammermoor conduted by Daniel Oren at the Theatre Carlo Felice in Genoa. In the Summer 2010 he will sing Duca in a new production of Verdi´s Rigoletto at the Opera in Piazza 2010 Oderzzo and Romeo in a new production of Romeo et Juliette at the Operosa EVXINOGRAD in Bulgaria.
